There were reports regarding the imported wood last year that was leading many people to suggest that Gibson might go under. From what I've read elsewhere, they tend to bully their dealers, and they probably don't need any more bad publicity.

From what I read about this it would seem very unlikely that Gibson have done any wrong here. It looks like the US government are falsely interpreting an Indian law which makes it illegal for the wood to be finished outside of India.

As a lefty i'm not usually on Gibson's side, but it looks like this is just the government being rediculously anal.
