Ibanez : Left Handed Acoustic Guitars 2010

Neal November 5, 2010 13

Ibanez have a fairly good selection of left handed acoustic guitars, however as always with Ibanez the lefty selection only really caters to the beginner to intermediate levels – nothing here will set you back more than $400.  However, lefty guitars are a niche market and i’m sure that if Ibanez could offer some of their higher-end models to us they would.

In saying that, if you are a beginner or intermediate level player Ibanez have absolutely got you covered with six wicked looking lefty acoustics to pick from.  Let’s take a look…

Ibanez A100LENT Left Handed Acoustic Guitar Lefty

Utilizing an arched back, The Ibanez A100LE provides that powerful presence you’ve been craving. Featuring a luthier-level appearance without a handmade guitar’s price tag, the A100LE has that same arch-back design you see on any Ambiance acoustic providing a more pronounced sound solid pronunciation when outdoors or in an instrument filled environment.

The Ibanez AEL10LE left-handed acoustic electric features the ingenius AEL body style, which strikes the perfect balance of volume and comfort, plus a Fishman Sonicore Pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-SS Shape Shifter EQ, a spruce top and mahogany back & sides. Ibanez tops it off with chrome die-cast tuners, a gloss finish and Elixir strings.   If you’ve wanted the comfort of an Ibanez AE body, but required a larger body for unplugged or mic’d performances, the new larger AEL body style strikes just the right balance in size and sound.

If you’ve played or even just listened to many acoustic guitars, you know the amazing difference a solid top makes. The Ibanez AW30LECENT ARTWOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar features a solid top made of Englemann spruce. You’ll hear warm lows and ringing highs in crisp detail, the way an acoustic is supposed to sound. The dreadnought body style is particularly well suited to making yourself heard in a group. The cutaway allows easy access to the entire fretboard.

Ibanez EW20LASENT Left Handed Acoustic Guitar Lefty

Play it acoustically or plug it in – the EW20LASENT Acoustic/Electric sounds great either way! It has a super-comfortable AEL body with a modified cutaway. It comes equipped with an Ibanez B-Band SQR pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SRT Shape Shifter Preamp with onboard tuner. When you see the highly figured Ash top, body and matching headstock, Abalone rosette and super infinity inlay at the 12th fret, we think you’ll agree – this is a beautiful instrument! Features bound neck and body, chrome Ibanez Smooth Tuners, Ivorex II nut and saddle and Advantage bridge pins.

Ibanez PF5LECENT Left Handed Acoustic Guitar Lefty

The Ibanez PF5ECE features a spruce top, gold die-cast tuners, a mahogany neck, and mahogany back & sides. Its electronics are equally impressive: a Fishman Sonicore pickup, plus an SST preamp with a built-in tuner. Professional features at an affordable price is the cornerstone of Ibanez’ Performance guitars. Other major manufacturers only check their instruments in the Performance price range with random inspections before shipping them to stores in the States. But every Ibanez acoustic guitar, from the least expensive Performance model to their top of the line Artwoods, is inspected and set up according to the stringent standards of Ibanez quality control.

The appearance and sound of the Ibanez SGT120L Sage series left handed acoustic guitar sets a new benchmark. The SGT120L has an amazing retro look and great playability which is inspired by the 1st Golden Age of Ibanez acoustic guitars. The large, classic pickguard contributes to the SGT120L’s understated vintage styling while it produces a full sound with strong bass and clarity in chording and soloing.

Hah, I just asked Rudolph and he told me to get f*cked, apparently NZ is too far away :p You'll just have to make do with being lucky enough to live in such a badass country! (jealous!) I'd love to try one of those though, they certainly look wicked.

    Hello,

Can anyone answer the following question for me please?:
It looks like the Ibanez AEG20E is a 2010 model and was replaced by the AEG25ETBK in 2011 (both are electric-acoustic). However, I am trying to find out if they are left-hand models? I like the AEG series for its smaller. slim frame.

    Thank you!

As far as I’m aware, neither of those are available left handed unfortunately. Ibanez will very shortly be officially announcing their new summer range, so fingers crossed they might include something that will interest you.

That guitar has been discontinued for a while now Leroy, but you may be able to find a used model on eBay or similar.
