Winter NAMM 2012 is edging ever closer and already a barrage of new products have been announced. Ibanez haven’t officially announced their 2012 range yet but we’ve already spotted a new budget model in select European stores which is currently available for pre-order.
The new SA160FML from the Ibanez SA range probably isn’t going to excite veteran players but it should get newer players and the budget conscious salivating. For me, this is now the best looking guitar that Ibanez currently offers left handed – the Trans Yellow Sunburst finish is beautiful and it’s great to see Ibanez giving the southpaws a matching headstock finish as well.

I’m really hoping this is a sign of things to come at NAMM, it would be fantastic to see some higher-end lefty Ibanez guitars in eye-catching finishes such as this. Perhaps Ibanez has finally taken note of us moaning about the constant barrage of black guitars…

On a side note: Judging by GG and Thomann, the lefties EVHs went VERY fast and are not currently on order…
I was keeping an eye on those EVHs at GG, they did go very fast didn’t they.
