As many of you are probably aware, the guys over at Mensinger Guitars in Poland are currently building me my very own left handed Arcadia model. The luthiers have very kindly agreed to take some photos of the guitar as it is being built, and I thought it would make an interesting series of articles to show the process as the guitar progresses from the initial stages all the way through to completion.
If you somehow managed to miss part one and part two of this series I suggest you head back and get yourself up to speed – there’s plenty of great photos to catch up with!
Update Number 3
The more we progress into this build the more exciting it gets! Once again this week Mensinger have spoiled us with another 23 high quality images of the Arcadia build. In this update we can see the final sanding being done on the binding, the neck being shaped, frets installed, neck being glued in place and the body and headstock being stained. Take a look below…

As you can see, things are really starting to heat up now. With the stains applied we can really begin to get a good idea of what the finished product will look like. I’ve got to say that I’m super happy with how everything is going so far!
As always, higher resolution photos can be found on our Flickr page for those who are interested.
Stay tuned for the next update! :) Musik Messe begins next week in Germany so I imagine Mensinger will be working around the clock right now, so it may be a little longer until the next update – we’ll soon see.
