Gaskell Guitars : We Gain Some, We Lose Some

Our friends down under at Gaskell Guitars have been quiet for a while, but we’ve recently heard some interesting news from the left handed exclusive Aussie brand.  Namely the discontinuation of a few models and the introduction of three brand new guitars!

So we’ve lost a few, but we’ve also gained some cool new models.  Read on to find out which models will be going the way of the dodo and also find out a few details about the new guitars.

Discontinued Guitars

From July Gaskell will discontinue production of the Ice-Axe, Brumby and Viking Bass.  So if you had been debating picking one of these up now is your last chance!  It’s a shame that these exotic shape guitars had to bite the dust, but there’s also some good news…

New Left Handed Guitars

I’d always been disappointed that Gaskell discontinued their Flying V model, but the good news is that it’s making a comeback!  The Flying V will return alongside a humbucker equipped version of the AllRounder and a new version of the Concord complete with a Floyd Rose tremolo.

In-House Pickups

In other news, all humbuckers equipped guitars will now come with Gaskell’s very own branded pickups installed.  These will also be available to purchase separately for $60 Australian per set plus shipping.
