New Ibanez RG721RWL Premium Left Handed Guitar

So I was sitting in the office this morning, minding my own business when BOOM…this little beauty landed on my desk. It’s from Ibanez, it isn’t an entry level model, and it isn’t gloss black….wait, what?! This is the first time in a long while that a left handed offering from the Japanese giant has got me interested.

The model in question is the new, limited edition Ibanez RG721RWL-CNF from the Premium Series. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s stunning

Built with the hard working pro in mind, the RG Premium is recognized as the ultimate workhorse guitar for the gigging player.

Neck Wizard 5pc Maple/Walnut neck
Body Rosewood top/American Basswood body
Fretboard Bound rosewood fretboard w/Off-set Pearl dot inlay
Fret Jumbo frets w/Premium fret edge treatment
Bridge Tight-End R bridge
Neck Pickup CAP-VM (H) neck pu (Passive/Alnico)
Bridge Pickup CAP-VM (H) bridge pu (Passive/Alnico)
Hardware Color Cosmo black

I have a sneaking suspicion that this may be limited to Europe at the moment as it is only currently available in a very small number of Euro stores.  Chatter suggests that it is very limited, so snap it up quickly or risk missing out.

I’ve put together a mammoth post detailing the latest and greatest lefties from Ibanez here. If you’re a southpaw Ibanez fan, you need to read this!

I purchased an Ibanez RG 1570L in 2005.. Can you guess what color? Well lets just say that someone in the paint dept. at Ibanez thinks every lefty is color blind. This model Plays and sounds great, but sometimes a lefty like myself would appreciate a mirage blue, mirage red or something other than black.. and considering the available models they have.. not many are offered to lefties.. I would love to get my hands on a left handed Xiphos model guitar, but that will never happen in my lifetime.. ok.. off to the next brand..

I’m not sure the exact story about these. From what I understand, there were only 5 units available here in the UK. They look to have all been snapped up.

For a lefty to have a chance at a decent high quality guitar to fall on our lap in our local music store is not likely.. We lefties are faced with the reality that 2 or 3 “pieces of firewood with strings on it” is all we’re going to see.. maybe if you’re lucky there will be an American Strat available.. Not much more.. Your best chance at a decent lefty guitar is Ebay or a dealer specifically tailored for lefties like southpaw guitars.com Don’t get your hopes up for a specific model which the company most likely doesn’t offer to lefties.. This has been the bane of our existence!

    hey,

I just got one of these, had it shipped from Germany to the United States, but it isn’t my cup of tea. Does this website have a forum where I could sell it?
