Welcome to the ultimate monthly roundup for left-handed players! Every month, I dig deep into the guitar world—new releases, rare used finds, oddballs, and absolute tone monsters—to bring you the coolest left-handed guitars and basses I can find. Whether you’re a collector, a player, or just love drooling over gear, this is your space.
Expect everything from pristine newly released models to killer used deals (yes, even the ones buried on eBay). Some guitars are hot and in stock—others are one-of-a-kind and might be gone tomorrow.
Check back each month for fresh finds—and if you spot a great lefty out in the wild, send it in and you might see it featured here!
Guitars Of The Month – May 2025
Schecter Solo II Przym Palladium
Notes: The all new Przym Palladium series brings together the artistry of traditional bespoke metal engraving and modern functionality, inspired by timeless baroque designs seen in vintage American gunsmithing and custom built lowriders. This awesome axe features an etched metal top faceplate, ebony fretboard, and Fishman Fluence pickups!
PRS Custom 24 Wood Library
Notes: Thomann actually has quite a few incredible Wood Library PRS lefties available at the moment. However, this Custom 24 with its eye-catching McCarty Sunburst finish is my personal favorite! Head over to check out the Charcoal Cherryburst, Eriza Verde, Black Gold Burst, and Faded Whale Blue models as well.
1988 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Signed)
Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Custom
Notes: This month, Epiphone has expanded its Inspired By Gibson Custom series with a fresh wave of vintage-inspired reissues. And for left-handed players, there’s plenty to celebrate! The new Firebird is clearly a reader favorite, but check out the rest of the models at the link above!
Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6
Notes: The new Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6 is one of the few 6-string basses available in a left-handed version, making it a rare find for southpaw players. It features a fast neck, 24 frets, and powerful EMG pickups—ideal for tapping, soloing, and extended range playing.
Gibson Custom 1964 SG Standard w/ Maestro
Ibanez RG7421EXL
Notes: Ibanez recently unveiled this brand-new 7-string that has immediately become one of the most affordable lefty 7s currently available. Unfortunately, it only seems to be available in the European market for now. Fingers crossed we see a worldwide release later in the year!
Schecter Zacky Vengeance ZV-H6LLYW66D
Gibson Custom 56 Les Paul Double Gold Top Reissue
Notes: Expertly crafted by the renowned Gibson Custom Shop, the 1956 Les Paul Double Gold Top Reissue is a limited edition masterpiece. With only 2 made, this guitar will become a prized possession for any left-handed Les Paul aficionado!
