Looking for left handed Ibanez guitars or basses? Unsure which models are currently available to us southpaws? You’ve just hit the jackpot, my friend!
This guide lists all of the newly introduced 2023 left handed Ibanez guitars and basses, as well as any previously available models carried over from last year.
Does Ibanez Make Left Handed Guitars?
Yes! At the time of writing Ibanez currently offers 35 left handed guitars – 17 electrics, 10 acoustics, and 8 basses. Additional left handed Ibanez guitars are usually offered throughout the year as part of their limited edition ‘spot production’ series.
Compared to last year, Ibanez really seems to have concentrated on upping their game in the acoustic and bass guitar departments, with several new lefty models being introduced. However, we do also have a couple of interesting new southpaw electrics as well.
Ibanez has a bit of a reputation for being a brand that caters mainly to guitar-shredding types, but as you’ll see below, there’s a lot more to the Japanese giant than that!

Left Handed Ibanez Guitars & Basses

Ibanez is a tricky brand to add to the site because their left handed range is constantly changing. Limited edition models come and go, individual stores commission exclusive runs, and on top of that, some left handed Ibanez guitars are only available in certain regions.
There may well be further models available, but the information contained in this article is correct according to the Ibanez 2023 catalog. Some of these models may have been recently discontinued, but if I was still able to find them in stock I have left them in the guide.

Limited Edition Models and Special Runs
On top of these guitars, Ibanez also periodically releases limited edition models (they call these Spot Production), and some stores might also commission special one-off runs. So this is something else to keep an eye out for. I try my best to post about these special Ibanez left handed guitar and bass models when they pop up!
Be sure to check out our friends over at Xtreme Lefty Guitars who quite often arrange small runs of left handed Ibanez guitars that you won’t find anywhere else!

Ibanez Website
Unfortunately, the various regional Ibanez websites have ditched their southpaw areas, forcing us to trawl the entire website to find out which models are available. Good thing I made this guide for you then!
