Built in collaboration with Skindred‘s riff-slinger (and fellow lefty-guitarist!) Mikey Demus, this guitar is a no-nonsense tone weapon. It’s slick, punchy, and absolutely primed for crushing stages and melting faces.

The MD-3 keeps the core DNA of Mikey’s original signature models – stripped-back, stage-focused design with a seriously classy edge. It’s got that “plug in and go” attitude: no gimmicks, just killer sound and effortless playability.
Hand-built at Manson’s UK factory in Ashburton, the MD-3 takes everything that made Mikey’s previous models great and cranks it up another notch. Based on the iconic MA-series silhouette, this third iteration reflects real-world gigging experience – specifically, Mikey’s touring cycle for Skindred’s album Smile.
The MD-3 features an ultra-stable roast maple neck that’s built for both smooth chord work and heavy-duty riffing, especially in drop tunings. Paired with a dual-action truss rod, it offers stability and playability that’s ideal for modern, high-energy players.
The lightweight obeche body keeps things resonant and responsive, finished in either Dry Satin Black (with a custom Wildcat scratchplate) or the bold Atomic Tangerine with a sleek black plate.
Tone comes courtesy of a custom dual humbucker set crafted with Mikey’s input. The Benchmark neck pickup delivers warm, vintage-inspired tones using Alnico II magnets, while the exclusive MD Custom bridge pickup pushes nearly 14k output with ceramic magnets for aggressive, articulate bite. It’s a versatile setup that covers everything from smooth cleans to full-on grind.
Hardware is rock-solid throughout: a Gotoh GE103 bridge and GE101 tailpiece for tuning stability, Gotoh H.A.P. machine heads with Mikey’s preferred buttons, and custom MGW control knobs for extra flair. Each MD-3 comes loaded in a Manson x Hiscox hard case, featuring a striking orange interior for Atomic Tangerine models or black for Dry Satin Black – built to tour, ready to go.
