Fender has announced seven new left-handed Made in Japan Traditional II limited-edition guitars and basses, with the models expected to begin shipping around August.
According to the info I was sent by Fender, retailers had until the end of March to place their orders. This suggests that the available stock has already been allocated and that no further production run is planned.
Once each retailer sells through its allocation, these models may be difficult to find, so anyone interested in a particular guitar, bass, or finish should consider pre-ordering early.

Traditional II 50s Telecaster

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 50s Telecaster features a basswood body, a maple U-shaped neck, and a 9.5-inch-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-size frets.
Its most distinctive details are the pair of vintage-style single-coil Telecaster pickups and the three-saddle string-through-body bridge with brass barrel saddles. A single-ply black pickguard rounds out the stripped-back 1950s-inspired design.
Traditional II 70s Telecaster Custom

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 70s Telecaster Custom pairs an ash body with a maple U-shaped neck and a 9.5-inch-radius maple fingerboard.
Its single-coil bridge pickup is matched with a Fender Wide-Range humbucker in the neck position, with separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. Other era-specific details include a three-bolt neck plate, Fender vintage F-stamped tuners, skirted black control knobs, and a three-ply black pickguard.
Traditional II 60s Stratocaster

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 60s Stratocaster features a basswood body, a maple U-shaped neck, and a 9.5-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-size frets.
Three vintage-style single-coil Stratocaster pickups provide the traditional SSS configuration, paired with a six-saddle synchronized tremolo. A three-ply mint green pickguard, eggshell controls, and white dot inlays complete the 1960s-inspired specification.

Lake Placid Blue, Fiesta Red, Shell Pink, Olympic White, and Seafoam Green finishes are all available.
Traditional II 60s Telecaster Custom

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 60s Telecaster Custom will be available in Fiesta Red, paired with a three-ply mint green pickguard for a distinctly 1960s-inspired appearance.
It features a basswood body, maple U-shaped neck, and 9.5-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard. Two vintage-style single-coil Telecaster pickups are joined by a three-saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles, helping distinguish it from the brass-saddle 50s model.
Traditional II 60s Jazzmaster

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 60s Jazzmaster comes in Olympic White, contrasted by a four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and aged white controls.
Its two vintage-style Jazzmaster single-coil pickups are paired with separate lead and rhythm circuits, giving players access to a wider range of control options than the Telecaster and Stratocaster models in the collection. A six-saddle adjustable bridge and floating tremolo tailpiece complete the offset design.
Traditional II 70s Precision Bass

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 70s Precision Bass is finished in Vintage White with a three-ply black pickguard and a rosewood fingerboard.
Its vintage-style split single-coil Precision Bass pickup is controlled by a simple master volume and tone setup. The bass also features a maple U-shaped neck, 20 vintage-size frets, and a four-saddle vintage-style bridge.
Traditional II 60s Jazz Bass

The left-handed Fender Made in Japan Traditional II 60s Jazz Bass is offered in Sonic Blue, paired with a three-ply mint green pickguard and rosewood fingerboard.
Two vintage-style single-coil Jazz Bass pickups are controlled by individual volume knobs and a shared master tone control. The bass also features a slim 1.5-inch nut width, 20 vintage-size frets, and a four-saddle vintage-style bridge.
Availability and Shipping
The new models are expected to begin shipping around August. Because retailers had to submit their orders by the end of March, available quantities are likely limited to the stock already allocated to each store.
Some models and finishes may sell through faster than others, particularly where retailers ordered only small numbers. Pre-ordering now to avoid disappointment.
